Bylaws

One of the most important contracts we have is between ourselves and our Union. Rigidly defined as internal law established by an organization outlining internal management. It is easier understood as a contract, the enforcement of which is often via private suit. The importance of having Union officers that will adhere to and execute the bylaws cannot be overstated as private suit is our only recourse in a lot of instances and is expensive.

You will see that the UFCW/ICWUC bylaws appear to be duplicates. It is a common practice to duplicate bylaws for different locals at different locations, but there is little reason why we should be so fragmented as a union (broken up amongst six locals).
