Digitizing/Access to records

The old guard has refused to address the growing mountains of paperwork at the Union Hall. Instead of purging pounds of paper once a decade the Local should have already digitized all of its records. Digitizing records does more than remove the need for an overpriced, oversized Hall- digitizing them organizes them and allows for ease in traversing our history.

This is so important that it cannot be left up to the whims of any one officer. The bylaws must include provisions that require the officers digitize all of our records and make them easily accessible, digitally, to the membership.

The RESCG, UNITED slate has committed to not only the full transparency of easy access to the Local’s digital records, but also will not require members to request information in order to see it.

To be clear, all records that do not invade an individual’s privacy will be available to the membership at the touch of a button. You should know who the Union is paying to be where, when, and for what.
